Maisa & Vinícius

Maisa and Vinicius came to me through another couple whom wedding I photographed in 2022 in Rome. I was surprised knowing that the couple still remembered me after so many years and incredibly greatfull to had been chosen by their friends. When Maisa and Vinicius told me where their ceremony was going to be, I couldn't believe myself since it was extremely hard to be granted!

Maisa and Vinicius were supposed to have their ceremony in a small church in Rome, but because of the Jubilee it was moved to this beautiful 9th century chapel in Vatican City, the St Stephen of the Abyssinians. I have to say I was astonished when I Knew they were getting married in the one and only Vatican! A place closed for tourists with the entrance allowed only for residents! I couldn't believe I was going to be there myself! I live in Italy since 2018 and I was never granted this opportunity.

They got ready at Belmonte Sanctuary and chose to have a dinner to celebrate their union in a restaurant close by the church. It was a simple but very intimate and emotional wedding in the presence of their parents and cousins only who flew with them from Brazil specially for that occasion. For those who couldn't be there in person, a livestream was conducted and carefully taken care by the father of the groom. After the ceremony, we went to St. Peter's Square for a couple of photos. Maisa was pregnant and a bit tired so we decided to do it short but special.

Everything in this day was magical from the beginning to the end and I'll share with some of my favorite moments! There is definitely something magical about being a wedding photographer.
