Something magic happens when the entire world stops to celebrate a single love story.
Last month, in Rome, I had the absolute privilege of witnessing a wedding that completely transcended geographic boundaries: the day love united cultures! He is Iranian; she is half-Venezuelan and half-Italian. Beyond the beautiful blend of their backgrounds, what made this day unforgettable was the crowd that gathered around them. Friends and family who traveled from every corner of the earth, speaking different languages and coming from different cultures, yet everyone spoke the exact same language: the language of pure, undeniable joy.
Looking out at the day, you could instantly feel a profound warmth—a shared gratitude, friendship and love from everyone who crossed oceans just to see these two incredibly happy souls say "I do." There was an undeniable sense of unity!
Because he is Iranian and she is half-Venezuelan and half-Italian, we all knew the wedding was going to be a gorgeous mix of cultures. But seeing it actually unfold was something else entirely. Instead of feeling like two separate sides, the entire gathering came together as one big, beautiful family.
From the beginning to the end, everything was incredibly moving specially because there were two ceremonies to honor both customs and traditions: the Catholic one and the Iranian one. Both felt equally filled with love, tears, and lots of clapping. But the high point of the day definitely started when it was time for dinner. The exact moment the bride and groom walked into the room, the atmosphere just shifted into overdrive. Everyone completely lost themselves in the happiness of the moment—cheering, waving napkins, and shouting with so much love that you could feel the room vibrating. Naturally, dinner quickly transitioned into an unforgettable celebration! And what a party it was—loud, vibrant and deeply passionate! The couple radiated pure joy and for a few hours you could feel the affection everyone held for them. I have never heard Iranian songs before and I didn't know that the songs and Iranians could be so lively; they simply couldn't stop dancing and singing!
Days like this prove that love knows no borders, love unite cultures.
To the newlyweds: thank you for letting me capture a day where the world stood still and united just for you. Your love brought different cultures together as one big family, leaving all of us with a night of endless happiness and euphoria.
